The Aim of The Game

Build the Most Successful Nation

How you play on the server is entirely up to you. If disappearing into the wilderness and living like a hermit in your own secluded part of the map is your thing, then you totally can. If you want to get involved in something more social and competitive, we’ve got you covered too.

We’re taking the concept of protected land claims and elevating it to something far more meaningful, competitive and fun. Yes, you can still claim areas of the map and protect your builds, but with a twist.

• Start with a claim, recruit other players to join to form towns, ally with other towns to form nations.
• Nations progress through “levels” – a measure of their success based on size, population and bank balance.
• The winning team will be the one that has built the highest level nation when the season ends.

Sounds simple, right? Well, there’s a few catches.

• Not only does buying land cost you money, so does the ongoing upkeep. If you can’t afford to maintain your land, it will be automatically unclaimed. This means you have to be strategic about how much land you claim and make sure you have a steady stream of income.
• Nations have their own bank balance. This is used for paying upkeep on your claims, charging taxes from member lands, selling/renting land, and other activities. The economy now has real meaning.
• Nations can form peaceful alliances, but they can also declare war on rivals.
• Claims are not permanent safe zones. Wars have consequences. Victors can receive pay outs when enemies surrender, and can even capture parts of their territory.

Now your choices, alliances and rivalries have real consequences.

Long-Term Progression

Many Minecraft survival servers can be “completed” in a matter of hours. Thumpstone is designed to be a more rewarding, long-term progression experience.

mcMMO

Level up dozens of skills through normal gameplay. Become a master miner, an expert swordsman, or a legendary woodcutter. Unlock special abilities and climb the leaderboards to secure your place in the Season 2 Hall of Fame.

Guild Ranks

Your overall mcMMO Power Level determines your server standing. Progress through a series of prestigious Guild Ranks as you develop your skills and prove your dedication. Only the most committed players will reach the highest ranks.

Earn Your Place in History

Hall of Fame

Will you be crowned the season’s Sword Master, the Top Mob Killer, or the Richest Player on Thumpstone? If so, there’s a place waiting for you in the Hall of Fame.

Legacy Builds

All player builds are usually lost forever when a Minecraft server resets. Not on Thumpstone. Anyone can nominate any of their builds to be considered for Legacy Build status.

Expanding the Frontier

Season 2 begins with a limited world border.

Beyond that border lies unexplored wilderness, untapped resources and future opportunities. But new territory won’t simply unlock over time.

The community must earn it.

A Shared Goal

Throughout the season, players can contribute money towards a server-wide expansion fund.

When enough has been contributed, the frontier advances and the world border expands, opening new land for everyone to explore and settle.

Adventure Beyond the Frontier

Building a nation is only part of the story.

The world of Thumpstone is filled with dangerous creatures, hidden treasures, ancient ruins and forgotten dungeons waiting to be discovered.

EliteMobs

While mcMMO forms the core progression system of the server, EliteMobs provides a constant source of adventure and challenge.

As you explore the world, you’ll encounter powerful elite enemies, roaming bosses, dangerous encounters and unique challenges far beyond vanilla Minecraft. EliteMobs features its own equipment, loot and rewards, giving adventurers new goals to pursue throughout the season.

Amazing Structures

Over 500 custom structures can generate throughout the world, ranging from abandoned camps and ruined towers to sprawling fortresses, hidden shrines, dangerous dungeons and mysterious landmarks.

Every village has its own identity, population and opportunities waiting to be discovered.

Meet Unique Villagers

Villagers now have names, personalities, professions and backgrounds.

Instead of hundreds of identical NPCs standing in trading halls, you’ll encounter individuals who feel like genuine residents of a living settlement.

Each village develops its own character as it grows.

Complete Quests

Villagers can offer quests based on their profession and the needs of their community.

Help a farmer secure supplies. Assist a blacksmith with rare materials. Support a growing settlement.

Completing quests can unlock rewards, improve relationships and provide new opportunities for trade and cooperation.

Build Your Reputation

Your actions matter.

As you help settlements and interact with villagers, you’ll build relationships and become a recognised member of the wider world.

The villages you support may become valuable allies, trading partners or strategic locations for your nation.
