Seasons
Thumpstone has a real, rolling year. The world moves through spring, summer, autumn and winter, each transforming how the world looks and feels (no resource pack required). Leaves change colour, flowers come and go, snow settles and melts, and the days themselves lengthen and shorten with the seasons.
The calendar works just like real life: the same months, the same 365 days per year, each day a 20-minute Minecraft day, so a full year passes in roughly five real-world days.

We run seasons purely for atmosphere and variety. The temperature system and seasonal crop growth are disabled. Crops grow at their normal rate all year round, and you’ll never need to wrap up warm. Seasons change what you see, not how you survive.
Spring
Spring is when the world comes back to life after winter. It’s the gentlest season, a good time to explore, gather and build.
- Forest leaves turn pink and cherry blossom drifts down from the trees.
- Flowers appear everywhere. The whole world briefly looks like a flower forest.
- Winter’s snow and ice melts away, block by block, faster as spring goes on.
- Sheep, cows, pigs, rabbits and chickens spawn in numbers, each with 3–5 babies.
- Bees are more common, and fireflies appear at night.
- Days and nights are roughly equal in length.
Summer
The longest days of the year. The world turns a vibrant, jungle-like green and the sky and water take on a light blue tone.
- Trees and grass take on a vivid green colour, while deserts and savannas look dry and sun-baked.
- Days stretch to around 13 minutes, with short nights of around 7.
- Rain becomes very rare. Clear skies are the norm.
- Jungle animals such as parrots and ocelots can appear far from the jungle.
- Patches of berry bushes spawn across the countryside.
- Fireflies glow at night and shooting stars streak overhead.
- Husks replace zombies on the surface.
Autumn
The most dramatic season visually. Trees blaze orange, yellow, red and brown, the sky turns grey, and it feels like a storm could break at any moment.
- Leaves shift through a whole palette of colours and leaf particles drift down beneath the trees.
- Grass takes on a muddy, light-brown tint and the water turns brown.
- Frequent rain and thunderstorms roll in.
- Big patches of mushrooms appear across the world.
- Foxes, mooshrooms, frogs and bats become common; extra spiders lurk at night.
- Summer’s berry bushes are cleared away.
- Days and nights are roughly equal in length.
Winter
The world goes quiet and monochrome. Leaves and grass turn pale grey, the sky whitens, and the water deepens to dark blue.
- It snows instead of raining. Real snow textures settle on the ground and melt away again when the season ends.
- Exposed water freezes over time, with ice forming from the edges of lakes inward.
- Nights stretch long and dark (around 13 minutes), with days of around 7.
- Cold-weather mobs appear everywhere: wolves, white foxes, polar bears and snowmen (minus their pumpkins)
- Strays replace skeletons on the surface.
- On some nights the sky fills with shimmering white sparks.
Sub-Seasons
Each season is divided into sub-seasons: early, mid and late. The change is gradual: snow may fall in early winter without settling on the ground yet, ice forms slowly at first and faster as the season deepens, and snow melts block by block in early spring rather than vanishing all at once. Watch the world transition slowly rather than flicking like a switch.
