PvP
PvP on Thumpstone is voluntary everywhere, except during an active Nation war, where combat and border defence follow their own rules.
How it Works
- Default: PvP is off for every player, everywhere.
- Toggle:
/pvp onand/pvp off, any time you’re not in a Nation at war. - Rule: Both players must have PvP on for a fight to happen.
- Nation war:
- Preparation phase: Once war has been declared, the Nations involved enter into a preparation phase until war has started. During this time, all members of warring Nations are able to defend their borders by attacking any other player that strays into a 1 chunk area around their land, regardless of their PvP setting. If you’re the one defending your Land, you must have PvP enabled and be stood outside your claim for this to work.
- War phase: Once your Nation’s war actually starts, the Lands system takes over PvP between you and your war opponents. Regardless of your PvP setting, you will be able to attack each other anywhere until the war is over. You can still continue to defend your borders against any player, regardless of their PvP setting.
- This means Nations at war are dangerous places to be around and best avoided if you want to stay out of conflict, even if you have PvP disabled.
- Combat tag: You can’t turn PvP off while in combat.
- Cooldown: you can only change your PvP preference once every 60 seconds.
